Hi,I have ceramic tile counter top and would like to fill in the grout lines to get rid of the tile look before I apply the faux granite. What can I do?
Hi Rebecca. Thanks for visiting our site. That's a tough one. I'm not sure what you could put in the seams that would be durable enough to stay put after you put the faux granite on. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful, but I'd love to hear about it if you've found a solution. You can also feel free to share the finished project on our facebook page. We'd love to see what you've accomplished!

Yes. We have seen the kits in the big box hardware stores They have mixed reviews. Does anyone out there have experience with these kits they'd like to share?
I love the results !…my husband and I are getting ready to tak on the same project with our counter tops…a quick fix for them while we save up for new ones…you mentioned the finish base ….the paint base is it water base also…I have seen the 200.00 kits at the hardware stores and like you I feel it's a bit to pricey…having a double wide also the kitchen has so much countertops and much needed up date….thanks for sharing!
Good luck to you Yvette! The kits had just come out when we did ours…about 10 years ago now! My family hated me for doing it because the kitchen was torn apart for a week while each layer dried and was resanded. But it was so durable and lasted a long long time. We put new cabinets about 7 years later I think. And there was not a chip in it at all after that length of time. I loved the look and it was really inexpensive to do.
