Would like do my kitchen counter same I can do it
You can do it, Frances! Thanks for visiting and commenting.
Good luck with your counters. This process is simple, but requires patience.
You have inspired me. I live in a double-wide manufactured home which needs updating. I had my master bath remodeled, new sub-floor, walls, ceiling, shower, tub, vanity, etc. It turned out beautiful. Now I am remodeling the main bathroom, doing the same thing. In my kitchen, the cabinets are the original brown cabinets like McGees, and I want to paint them white. It was nice to see and learn how it was done especially with the contact paper or whatever it is (mine is peeling off as well). My countertops are 4" x 4" square white tiles with bad grout. I don't know if I could do my countertops like McGees, but would love to try. It would save me a lot of money. Looking forward to seeing McGees' updates. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for visiting and commenting, Denise. It sounds like you've been very busy in your home!
I'm not sure about those counter tops. It seems to me like you could pry them all up and then sand them and then paint them or put veneer over them. Or, you could do like we did. We used the in stock counter top at Lowe's and it was less than 200$. We love it and it has a granite look to it. We did the same in our laundry room, only with a shinier counter material found at Home Depot. Both of them look great and were really inexpensive and easy to install.
Good luck on your next project!
